The PN50 mini impact palm nailer from Bostitch is perfect for driving nails into confined areas. Featuring a rubber grip designed to insulate and reduce vibrations, a 360 swivel air fitting, and a front exhaust to direct air away from the user. The PN50 drives most common bulk finish, framing and timber nails from 1” to 3”, with a surprising weight of only one pound.

I just pulled the palm nailer PN50 out of its plastic product case and attached it to my compressor set at 95psi. It fired once and then it cycled and hissed then fired again with no down force. Added three drops of oil and nothing changed. I did not exceed 100psi. The hissing is coming from the back of the palm nailer.
After the initial failure the air continues to leak out the back end of the palm nailer.
What gives?

L J Wood, your PN50 palm nailer sounds like it's "locked up" you can try depressing it against a nail and scrap wood, then hooking it to the air supply. Sometimes this jolts the valves into proper action.
